A Touch Of Berlin - Rolf Kuhn* - Rolf Kuhn And His Sound Of Jazz (Vinyl, LP, Album)

This album is Kuhn's first as a leader and truly showcases his playing and preferred musical style. Although there are no sound samples on this page (at the time of this review) you can hear them on the MP3 version of this album at Rolf Kuhn and His Sound of those guide you because describing this music is difficult/5(3).

 · Tracks 2, 4, 8 and 10 feature yet another line up with Kuhn on clarinet, Bunch on piano and organ, George Duvivier on bass and Don Lamond on drums (although Jim Hall rejoins this ensemble on track 10). I would not call this an essential album (unless you are a Kuhn fan, then it is because it's his first one as a leader), but it is good listening.5/5(1).

The original double LP was issued by Meno Liechtenstein’s CB Records – he was also the organizer of the “International Holy Hill Jazz Meeting” in Heidelberg/Germany. The sound quality on the original album was not really bad – but it certainly was not really good as well. We spent a lot of work on a proper restoration of the live tapes.
